We are delighted to announce that Steve James has been promoted to the position of Operations Manager for Bako Wales, following the retirement of long-standing team member Alun John, who many of our customers will have known well.

Steve has already been with the company for more than 15 years, having joined Bako Wales in May 2003, so brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role.  Through most of his time at Bako, Steve has been Bako Wales’ Operations Supervisor, deputising for Alan.

Commenting on his promotion, Steve said:

“I’m really pleased to be given the opportunity to be Bako Wales’ new Operations Manager.  Having worked for him for many years, I know that Alan will be a hard act to follow, but I’m very confident that I can do a great job for the company. I’m look forward to working more closely with our customers to ensure they get great products and service from us.”

General Manager, Dyfed Evans, said

“We’re delighted to have been able to recognise the hard work Steve has put in over many years by appointing him as our new Operations Manager. This is a pivotal role for Bako Wales and Steve’s practical and pragmatic approach will ensure we continue to deliver excellent service for our customers.”

Dyfed continued:

“Whilst we’re very sorry to have to say goodbye to Alan, we know that he can relax in the knowledge that he has passed on his responsibilities to a very competent individual.  After 34 years of sterling service, he definitely deserves a rest and we wish him well for his retirement.  Thanks Alan and enjoy!”
