The Warehouse team at Bako Wales has a new member, Ben Jones, who has joined to become the company’s Stock Controller.

In this vital role, Ben will be liaising with our suppliers, overseeing the placing of orders with them and ensuring the requested goods are delivered on time.  He will be working closely with our Sales and Customer Accounts teams to ensure that the products our customers want are ready in the warehouse and available to be supplied on demand.

Ben has joined Bako Wales at a key time as we are currently working hard to introduce a new warehouse and back office system called SAP Business One, which will seamlessly link our stock, ordering and accounting systems.  Once in place, the system will enable us to deliver the best service possible to our customers.

Although he already has relevant experience, having most recently worked for a wholesale supplier of quality, ethically sourced, jewellery and clothing, Ben will be undertaking his Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification to help ensure he has the latest information on best practice. His qualification is being done on a day release basis with the University of South Wales in Pontypridd.

He has replaced Stephen Grounds, who has retired after 9 years with Bako Wales.
